This special evening brings together opera, chamber music and Romanian spring traditions, in a refined and intimate concert experience.
Celebrating the arrival of spring and anticipating International Women’s Day, the programme features beloved opera arias and chamber music works from the classical repertoire, performed by outstanding Romanian and Irish artists.
The musical journey is accompanied by a Mărțișor mini-exhibition — a traditional Romanian symbol of spring, renewal and good fortune — conceived as a “mirror” dialogue between heritage and contemporary reinterpretation. The exhibition presents both traditional motifs and creatively reimagined forms, reflecting the continuity and evolution of this custom. It was created by young students of the Nicolae Tonitza National High School of Fine Arts in Bucharest, under the coordination of visual artist and teacher Anca Maria Ciofîrlă.
